Swords and Weapons

Alycone is a sword - female with a fire spirit inside. It will talk to it's owner but it may not help them. It is very powerful if you can get it to work. Discussion with it's owner is usually derision of their abilities.

Alycone has four sisters - Calaeno, Electra, Taygete and Maia. Names taken from the Seven Sisters cluster of stars.

Xeravil has possesion of the four sisters at the moment.

This bit is spectuation.
Potentially when Xeravil and S-gard fought before Xeravil was using the combined swords and she gave Alycone the power to defeat S-gard. However Alycone betrayed her by giving that power to S-gard which lead to his victory, so Alycone has been in the temple ever since.

Further speculation.

Merging the five sister swords together will form a 'light sabre' the counter for S-gards Dark Sabre. Any character doing this will have to be very powerful, and likely to have undergone several tests. Nature of tests to be determined. Any ideas?

No one knows what S-gard's sabre really is.

Long, long, long term speculation.
Merging Light and Dark sabres together might be able to produce a weapon capable killing or injuring S-gard or Xeravil but this is pure speculation.

I love these ideas.
It has given me some inspiration to write about s-gards past.
in the past, s-gard could have been powerful enough to merge the swords together.
that was the extent of his power back then.
however, the five blades did not exist. nor did the light or dark blades.
all that existed was the one blade.
perhaps it can be named the 'one true blade' ?
xeravil and s-gard both travelled together for many many years in search of it.
this was the time when they were revered as the strongest heroes of the land.
thats all vagueness anyway.
but heres the clincher.
they found the blade. then came the debate as to who should wield it.
s-gard with the stronger will, being as arrogant as he is, took the blade and wrenched it in two with his bare hands. he kept the dark blade, and gave the light blade to xeravil.
xeravil was upset at this and so they fought.
s-gard managed to shatter the light blade into 5 pieces.

time passed.

a danger approached the land.

the final test remained for s-gard.
this test was to gain the ultimate power.
xeravil followed. at the last moment when she was about to reforge the blades, alcyone warned s-gard to her presence. and so xeravil failed in stopping him.

I know it is all one sided, so i expect you will want to change some things!

Hmm... some of the logic appeared a little off to me. I thought about it for a bit and came up with this, which is still trying to keep the orginal idea as much as possible.

Xeravil and S-gard are travelling together to find blade
Find it.
Split blade in two.
Fought and light blade split in 5 pieces as it has five souls.

Went their separate ways

A kernal of an ancient evil power was within the dark blade
Xeravil learns about it and attacks S-gard - hence their historic battle because if she didn't he would potentially threaten the existance of Draobrev if the ancient power took control of him.
Uses five blades because that's what she has to use.
Intent is to kill S-gard and the ancient evil power. (I don't hate S-gard, just had to defeat that power at all costs)

Alycone betrays her by rescuing S-gard although ancient power is still defeated.

Since Alycone gave S-gard the power to save himself, Xeravil can't fight him at that time since she was exhausted defeating the ancient power - they were both exhausted but S-gard was better off.

Two go separate ways again and have learnt to live with each other.

Never seriously hated the other but certainly there was a lot of one up manship there.

I'm not sure about all of this, but it does keep the mystery about the dark sabre and as stated eslewhere I think we need a super evil being - so the kernal of the ancient power could have some relation to it, although that might be tying in everything too much.

I thought about tying it in to darkness but I decided that was best left as something else. These are just some other thoughts since this is something that can be developed slowly.

yeah, sounds good.
i am not sure what you changed but i agree it does sound right.

especially the part about the ancient evil being lurking around somewhere.

hahah, some of the reasoning for stuff to happen was altered.

Actually, I should have changed this bit: The didn't fight when they found the Blade for example, just split it. I think this adds to any fight they would have later, give it more emotional depth but if that happens I'm not sure how the light blade got split again.... hmmm....

And there was no final test for S-gard to gain power. Although that could be added as something the ancient evil was trying for.

In general, I think this makes Xeravil and S-gard more amicable to each other, while still allowing from them to be competitive. S-gard eventually became king but to me the question is what is King of really? That's something you will have to define, I think.

I think if we wish for that to be some of the history, we will need to write a historical outlines since the information for this will only come through in S-gard or Xeravil posts - or some of the older NPC's when we play them - maybe.

Eh... there is no rush.

i see, okay.

what is s-gard king of?
well, what are most kings king of? they are king of those that will follow them. to those that do not follow him, he is not king.
as kcirevam stated, he is a self proclaimed king. he does a good job of it. for example, the city is a fair way away, and the land of draobrev is pretty treacherous for anyone trying to gain entry.
it is a very empty kingdom alas.
as with all kings,, he can be dethroned. the system is in place for normal users to become admin, and in this case, there may be battles for power. with the real chance of people winning against him. i mean... there may be a way, for somebody to gain control of basil, but i dont want to give anyone any ideas! hehe

lol - that's cute, especially considering some other conversation circe darkness.

I haven't mentioned all the long term plan that possibly involve darkness because I don't know them but given that darkness was a part of S-gard for anyone trying to dethone him, it would be a very attractive being.

I wouldn't worry too much about Basil. I have spoken severely to him and keep a rooster handy so he knows the consequences of attacking.

About the ancient evil, I think it should come from outside Draobrev but I want to think about it for a few more days.

Drool!

Oh I like the names! They are great. smile.gif Although it's a bit of a pity that the light sword is currently fractured.

I guess we know who we are using for weapon art though! lol.gif
