Time line situation:
jade uqui says: 1. darkness goes back to Kcirevam jade uqui says: 2. shadow arrives at city jade uqui says: 3. guards attack shadow and injure her badly jade uqui says: 4. darkness shows Kcir what's happening to his previous companion. He can probably feel some of her pain as well jade uqui says: 5. shadow escapes very badly injured. Metal Man remains at city. jade uqui says: 6. we see what Kcirevam does jade uqui says: somewhere in there darkness tells kcir that it is the only thing he can rely on. Drag-5 says: sound good. i think that we need to see why they attack shadow though. the rreason is becausre they were betrayed by darkness. the darknesss helped them become strong and then at the last moment it betrayed them by killing their king. jade uqui says: oh? okay, that can work. I was thinking more they were a random collection of individuals who had been used by darkness but if I make them a kingdom then it can still be the outpost against S-gard jade uqui says: since, they can theoretically know that S-gard created darkness and so he'd be shared in their hatred Drag-5 says: yeah sounds cool. and it will serve as some kind of phycological help. because they wwill be in the same posiition as kcirevam would have been. the darkness was helping them to become storong, and then they were petrayed and their most loved king was killed. now they lash out at things that resemble darkness. jade uqui says: the way I think of S-gard's character for it, and I apologise if I'm getting it wrong, is that if I was a normal citzen of Draobrev, then I would know S-gard could conquer everything without too much effort just with his own personal power. But for some reason he doesn't and only remains within his kingdom. However the other kingdoms still know he could conquer them and so watch very fearfully SNIP jade uqui says: don't be too confident your highness, darkness didn't like being pulled away from its toys Maverick Guyver says: its toys didn't like being left without it Drag-5 says: how can i be too confident... at level 9999? Maverick Guyver says: in a manner of speaking Drag-5 says: (levl 9999) Drag-5 says: jade uqui says: darkness by your own design is levelless Drag-5 says: oh... yeah forgot jade uqui says: lol Maverick Guyver says: well I did say his own rules would be his downfal Drag-5 says: lol, yeah prob'ly jade uqui says: you have indeed. ALTERATIONS based off the above bit: I know you want to kill off a piece of darkness but both Kcirevam and Shadow have plans that require darkness, and as discussed Darkness is very powerful, so I have a way of injuring darkness so that Kcirevam can still 'destory' a part of it. But it leaves darkness wiht Kcirevam in a very weakened state. NEW TIMELINE: hopefully. 1. Darkness returns to kcirevam 2. Shadow approaches city and is attacked 3. Darkness senses this and is angry at the potential loss of one of it's play things. 4. Shadow retreats very injured to lick her wounds for a while 5. Darkness knows shadow won't survive by herself and doesn't want to loose of it's play things, so tells Kcirevam to attack it. 6. Kcirevam attacks darkness - splitting it in two again. Mind goes back into him but VERY weakened, while body goes to shadow. 7. Darkness heals shadow by merging with her. This I think still gives Kcirevam/Mav the good thing about knowing that he rescued his companion and getting rid of something that betrayed him since he does get the joy of attacking Darkness, even if it is within reason. As I've already stated I think at the moment only S-gard or Xeravil could take on Darkness. You made them to be levelless after all. LOL Any thoughts? |

sounds excellent!
I especially like the complexity of the trains of thought. the act of attacking the darkness is god, the darkness was in a sense a betrayer so yeah he gets to attack the betrayer to save the companion. The fight scene was brilliant! I would like to really lay it on thinck about the people though. I will make a post as metal man, where he hears of the peoples pain and their anger. I expect kcirevam will mark these people as his new enemy. It does leave him with a lot of tough choices though.... darkness has caused him problems... he is having to put himself in a position of vulnerability in order to get hte strength he needs. in your future plans, is there a point in which they have to get rid of darkness? not necessarily defeat it, but protect themselves and get rid of it for good? i was thinking, that now kcirevam is in a position where he has to 'trust' darkness, at least he isn't blind to its intentions. that way, there could come a scenario, where shadow and kcirevam have to fight to free themselves of the entity.... does that fit? btw... I really feel sorry for metal man.... he just gets punished more and more... |

Poor metal man but shadow couldn't take him with her.
With future plans for darkness and if there comes a point where kcirevam and shadow have to defend themselves from it, that's very fluid. I guess it depends on how useful Darkness is being. Any long term plans that have been made are subject to change although there is a possibility Kcirevam could be the one to merge with Darkness such as it is, and only desire power. In which case, his eventual target would be S-gard. Heheh. Don't know how that might play out because there might be a question then as to who is in charge of Kcir - darkness, jon or kcir? This is pure speculation though. There is a possibility also that both shadow and kcirevam will decide to get rid of darkness. Shadow wasn't too happy with it a while back but given that it is darkness and it's in her nature to like darkness, she might be prepared to deal with it. Even if they do get rid of darkness - it is potentially a multiconscious being and I think it is a very personal being. Shadow and Kcirevam could potentially get rid of THEIR darkness while others may have to deal with that at some stage. This darkness is based off S-gard, but it could also tie into the darkness that lurks in all souls. Darkness is a versitile character so even if Kcir and Shadow 'get rid of it' I don't think it should be for good. It could perhaps be a trial that is inflicted on all characters at some point. Well, maybe not everyone, but something that can be pulled out if a character needs some development, or we just feel like torturning them. .... er... yeah... If Mav/Kcir takes the path now, and attacks and splits darkness again, then the mental section will go back into him but probably won't be seen or heard from for a while - as it regains its strength as it were. Or it could be very, very, helpful to him so that he once again comes to trust it. Not sure which option will work best so I was going to wait and see. To destroy darkness entirely from the world, I've already told you I think there are only three ways. 1. S-gard accepts it back into himself - perhaps by recovering his 'human' feelings. This is very, very not likely, unless I've very much mistaken. 2. Kcirevam OR Shadow merge completely with Darkness and then are killed. This too is unlikely alhtough there is always the possibility of mergance. Darkness is likely to be too powerful at that stage, or Shadow or Kcirevam would be too powerful by the act of merging with Darkness. After all, it can potentially know EVERYTHING. This way is possible though, since Jon or Shadow might get SO pissed with darkness that they will sacrifice themselves to get rid of it. 3. Xeravil and S-gard consciously go into combat with Darkness. I like the option as it would give a chance for the board to see what Xeravil and S-gard are capable of but if this option is ever enacted, I don't think it should be for a while. But perhaps if not combat against Darkness, there can be a mention of a different creature that they have to fight against together. Yes, it's creating a super being but to 'flesh out' the avatars that are S-gard and Xeravil, it could be a long term plan. There has to be some reason they became that powerful after all. |

I can understand why you thought that... but you are very much mistaken! Think about it, darkness fled from s-gard because there was no more space there. that means that the darkness is too much for s-gard, in terms of how much darkness a person can cope with. it is true s-gard has no darkness within him and that makes him very mellow. thats why he is very calm in his manner. however, can you imagine what it must have been like for him to be saturated in so much darkness? ever wonder why draobrev yugeth is such a nasty place? yes, if somehow s-gard recombined with darkness, it would probably equal apocalypse. he would take in not only the darkness that he originally lost, but all the things it had accumulated since. it would send him apocalyptic. and he has the power to cause such mass destruction as it is. I would have to be very imaginitive that day, or we would have to do a lot of communication to get some choreography or something. oooooh... it sounds so enticing! now, i like the idea of s-gard going postal, but i also like this idea. wonder if its possible to do both? |

I think it's possible to do both. It would be boring if everything is tied back into darkness so that the existance of another being would be a good thing. It would require a lot of conversation but that's not a bad thing. And is something that could be worked on slowly to get the feel just right. Afterall, this will probably recreate Draobrev's shape, or I would image that it would since it would be such a big battle. There doesn't necessarily have to be anything that sets it off either, although possibly I can have Xeravil have a preemptive conversation with you now, so that if it does happen, there is some small warning for everyone. We'd need to establish the ending and what got changed before that got started though, so that we both knew what finish we were aiming for. |

yeah its good, i think it would be cool, to lay a little path towards this event, whichever way it goes.
a pre-emptive conversation sounds good, but we would have to decide what the even is first. I know, how about... they fight darkness.... in order to defeat darkness, s-gard must summon it back into himself, this means he goes haywire.. but something occurs and this helps in some way to weaken it... there must be some thing that s-gard can do to weaken it by taking it into himself,, perhaps a symbol from the past. perhaps a symbol can stoop his rampage and cause him to quel the darkness, and then that will weaken it somewhat.. and then xeravil and s-gard fight it some more, and then defeat it... sound good? the trail could be things like omens. we could leave little hints around like the symbol from the past and other things. weave a dark thread of a storm through the tale. it could be to do with the secret behind the bookcase.... nobody got to that really... i mean apoc cheated... but it has not been added into the story. so i could change the purpose of that room. after the defeat of darkness... the world may not be that different.. maybe it will what do you think? |

Correction - shadow got the book case! She stated that in one of her posts, and I did it legitimately. I just haven't had a chance to have her go back to it. She knows there is a doorway, she just doesn't know what's behind it. But the purpose of the room can be changed if you'd like anyway.
Preemptive conversation, as I think about it would really just involve the mentioning that it's still around and that if his majesty wishes help with destroying it then full support would be given. We could probably do that fairly soon since we are both in the vacinity of the temple. Possibly, since you've used a spell to summon darkness back, there could be some sort of containment spell that could be placed on your body to contain darkness when it's reabsorbed. Possibly this combined with the symbol would then protect S-gard's abilities as his own, as well as trapping darkness in a form they could fight. Then it's battle on. With the alteration of the world, while it probably won't be much different I was more thinking that since it would be such a large battle there would be some phycisal changes, simply because they were fighting so fiercely. There would be some changes on the political realm though. The people in the as yet unnamed Western City for example hate S-gard because he created the darkness which killed their King. After this he would have killed it, so that's going to alter their view slightly. Plus if Xeravil and S-gard were the 'hero's of the kingdom' as mentioned else where, where is this kingdom? I like the idea of a symbol and weaving it through the story. It's good because it provides some continuity. Destroying darkness though entirely isn't something I think should be done for a while. And by a while I mean maybe not for a few months unless things get really boring, or there is some other need. Will it hurt S-gard since it is a part of him? |

will it hurt him?
well not physically since it is separate from him... or.. maybe it is still linked to him in a way.. maye it will offer him some form of release? ...nah. no it wont hurt him.. well it might cause hi some pain.. but i think he is not alien to the prospect of pain so even if it did hurt him i dont think it matters. well maybe it does matter, maybe it would be good to show him in pain to give him a bit more depth? btw.. did shadow solve it? how did she do that? i am interested to know the processes she went thru to arrive at an answer. |

thinks hard....
how did shadow do it... argh... you are making me remember.... *goes off to look at book case again....* I remember when I first looked at it, I thought five three across was a combination for the number of black books so I looked for that pattern - five black books across, and three black books across - which get's you to the second last shelf, with the blue book being sandwiched between the five black books and then three black books. But obviously that wasn't it, so it was back to the drawing board. There is a yellow book that says down but I noticed you had two different types of yellow there. Anyway, combining the yellow book saying 'Down' with the five and then counting five yellow books down (the yellow colour that is diagonal to the book that says across) get's you to about the 10th line up from the bottom. So draw a horizontal line across there for reference. Next bit... was.... harder... there was something involving the red book cos it's the only red book on the shelf.... oh yeah... I think I took that as a spacer. Now since there are no green books on the shelf, I had to do something to determin which book colour to count again. That's probably why the red book was considered a spacer, and the only other primary colour. So removing two primary colours meant that I had to count Blue books. The logic made more sense to me at the time. And for some reason, I only counted blue books below the horizonatal line made earlier, which brings you back to the afore mentioned blue book above. BUT since I knew it wasn't on that line, if you draw a vertical line this time, then go to the intersection of your horizontal and vertical lines you end up in the lab. The logic made a lot more sense to me at the time... And I'm sure there was another step I went through at some stage.... something specific with the red book. I don't know how you wanted people to solve it but that's the way that worked for me. The question about hurt though was something I did want to check. Darkness is completley separate from s-gard? it's not going to kill s-gard if darnkess dies? That was the underlying question about pain. With darkness, I'll do that pre-emptive post, but I think it would be good to see what Kcirevan and shadow can do for a while. I'll make the post so that it's something that can be done at any time. If you want to go postal on something, we can invent that super character and give it some young if you'd like. That way killing one of it's young could be a reason it either came back or stirred in it's grave. |

wow, i am surprised at how you got it.
Did you find the other book that wade threw out the window? i am not sure you did..... can't remeber, but that book is actually needed to work it out. You see there is 6 books in total. i missed a colour out by mistake but if you were to look at the colours you would see that you have enough to make the colours of the rainbow. if you put them on the shelf in the right order ROYGBIV minus the violet as i forgot it.... then you would have the right combination. so many down, so many across. |

No, shadow didn't go after the other book because by the logic used, I didn't need the other book. At the moment, shadow still has Metal Man's book and that's it. I think. Kcirevam's still got the library key although how he's carrying that is a little beyond me.
If you want to change the labs purpose it's all good 'cos I figured whoever wanted to use it would have to go back the the library so that would need to be written into their character and at the moment, shadow doesn't care about libraries and I think Espy is going to travel west. Pre-emptive post, as mentioned elsewhere has been done so that if desired Xeravil will help against darkness, although the other thread may have made this a moot point for the moment. |

sorry, but hehehe, you are gonna need the blue book.
well at least anybody that wants to get past the 2 bookcases.... sorry, did i say '2' bookcases? oh yeah, i added one hehehe. and i changed the first one. and i made it cheatproof! well, i did give you the method of working it out, so its not too bad. maybe you could give some of the others some hints if it is in character for shadow. |

I will give them hints if I'm around as shadow but unless something happens shadow isn't going back to the library for a while. Mind you though, I don't think anyone is going back to the library for a while, so we will see how that develops.
