Okay the infirmary is now open!

s-gard pulled open two huge stone doors just off a corridor outside the minions pit.

He looked over to see a very badly injured espylacopa stumbling in his direction.

Hmm, it seems i have opened this infirmary just in time my dear little injured man!

continuing from - the machine

*Espylacopa stumbled around the Minion pit aimlessly for well over 1 hour before he say 2 large stone doors in the distance. Using his rifle as a crutch he made his way over towards the 2 doors falling many times on the way damaging his already broken ribs even more.*

When I've healed I'm gonna make that thing wish it had never been born.

*Standing up again espylacopa continued on his way towards the doors. When he got within 100 metres of them he stopped upon seeing he saw King S-gard opening the doors revealing what appeared to be an infirmary. He was about to start walking towards the doors again when he felt all he remaining energy leave his body causing him to claps into unconsciousness.*

the nurse had just peeked around the door to see what all the fuss was about.
due to many years of nurse training and practice, not to mention the powers she had gained from the fires of this place, she had an eye for spotting the injured.
looking over the scene she saw a huge creature sniffing about here and there.
but on the floor closer to the infirmary was a man with a gree visor and holding a rifle.
he was unconscious on the floor.
she ran out into the corridor and through the arch into the minions pit. she ran around the first table and arrived at the mans side.
heaving hjim up onto her shoulder she dragged him toward the infirmary.
it was times like these that she wished she had somebody to help her.
if only 'that man' hadn't gone off leaving her behind.
she wasn't loyal to s-gard, but she would remain here, where she was needed.
'that man' just didnt care.
she layed the soldier type man onto a table.
collecting her equippment she went to work straight away.

*Espylacopa awoke to the faint beeping sound of a heart beat monitor that was at his bed side. for a few minutes the room around him was a blur at first he thought he had gone blind when all of a sudden every single light in the room was switched on at the same time causing Espylacopa to close his eye's rather quickly .*

Turn those light's down it's to bright in here.

*When the lights didn't dim down espylacopa re-opened his eye's and noticed that except for him the room was empty*

What the hell if I'm the only one here then who turned on the lights

*Ignoring the pain that still racked his body Espylacopa climbed out of the Infirmary bed he headed back to where he entered the underworld and where he had left most of his weapons and additional body armour*

*Espylacopa walked into the infirmary to get his arm fixed up but like last time he was there the lights were off and the nurse was no where in sight.*

Guess i'm going to have to wait a while

*He walked over to the nurses table and started to study all of the objects that where spread across it before heading over to one of the beds to rest whle waiting for the nurse to return from where ever she was.*

nurse had just entered the infirmary from her office to find espylacopa sitting on the bed. what had he done this time?

now what seems to be the problem?

espylacopa was lookin a bit confused but then he gestured to his arm.

damn creature. done some real damage to this arm

hmmmm looks like the injury 'that man' had when i first met him...
okay hold still.

she started taking out equipment and bandages and stuff.
whilst getting to work on his arm, espylacopa was looking around the room.
he was making coments on how the equipment was the strangest he had ever seeen.
nurse just listened to him while doing her work.

***Espylacopa sat on the bed while the nurse bandaged up his arm. Before long he started asking her a bunch of questions.***

So how long ya worked here?

Who is this 'the man' and what the heck s that thing?

***the words came out of his mouth as he used his good arm to point to the strange looking object that she just picked up.

He never received an answer to the last question the nurse just smiled then continued with fixing up his arm***

This thing?

The Nurse smiled and continued to work.

Oh it's just something that will take away your pain amongst other things...

She continued to work, ignoring the first question though, and Espylacopa was beginning to feel the effects of what ever it was she had done. The answer hadn't been very good, but the pain was beginning to fade.

So what were you fighting?

Espylacopa shrugged.

Bug.

The same one as last time?

Not anymore.

It must have been quite tenacious.

Yeah, well, it's now splattered in a million pieces so it ain't coming back.

The Nurse frowned and Espylacopa wasn't sure what to feel at that... was the damage worse than he thought, was it something else entirely?

What is it?

You splattered one of His Majesty's creations?

What, he'll be upset?

**********

Far from it. He'd probably be quite pleased for the entertainment and although he might miss his pet, he will find other things to amuse himself with. He always finds other things...

So what's the problem? The bug is dead, you're fixing my arm, and everything's sweet.

Kavorkian is one of His Majesty's creations. Splattered or not, he will not be dead... He just might not be what you expect.

What? How? If you splatter something into that many pieces it dies!

The Nurse looked at the human soldier strangely... Didn't he understand yet?

This is a world of darkness, nothing is what is seems. Now rest. You can't heal unless you rest.

Yeah rest will probably be a good idea. I'm going to need to be at my maximum if I'm destroying what ever that Kavorkian turns into next.

Espylacopa was awakened by the sound of gun fire and explosions. Grabbing his rifle he ran outside to see what was happening. The sight that befell him was his old squad defending the base he was stationed at from the onslaught of the swarm.

A squadron of fighters shot past overhead the roar of their engines drowned out the sound of gun fire and screams as Marines were being torn apart.

This base isn't going to hold out much longer.

**********

As he looked around him he saw another ghost running over to him. It was his commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Kerregin.

Stop standing around solder. Take the squad and reinforce gate 3.

We have got to hold this base until the Drop Ships arrive.

Espylacopa gathered his squad and proceeded to gate 3. When he arrived he saw hundreds of alien troops rushing towards the gate. The siege tanks had managed to hold them so far but with there number of aliens growing they were begining to be overwhelmed.

Shortly after his squad arrived 6 more squads mostly consisting of Marines arrived at Gate 3. As Espylacopa was about to issue orders to the squads of marine's that had just arrived one of the tanks exploded. A piece of debris hit him on the head knocking him unconscious.

When he awakened all of the marines around him were dead and the base seemed abandoned. Slowly standing up he walked to the hanger to see if there was any vehicles left that he could use to get to planet's main city in the hope of finding a transport of world. When he arrived at the hanger he saw a dead Pilot lying next to a Vulture hover bike.

He was about to start searching him for the keys to it when he heard a scratching sound behind him. Turning around he aimed his rifle where he thought the sound was originating from when something dripped down from the ceiling onto the barrel of the gun. Looking up he saw one of the aliens that had attacked the base staring down at him. Before he got the chance to fire at it, the alien leaped down knocking him do the ground with one of its claws through his waist.

At that point Espylacopa's eye's shot open looking around him he saw that he was still in the infirmary.

Oh it was just a dream.

**********

Before going back to sleep he saw a dark form leaving the infirmary.

After waking up in the morning Espylacopa decided that he was well enough to leave the infirmary. Even though his arm had not completely healed he was able to move it around with out it hurting to much.

Looking over he said good bye and thank you to the nurse before picking up his equipment and heading back to his camp.
