Am at season 3 now. I love it! It's so good!!! Love seeing the early days of Starfleet. I watched a TNG video on YouTube just now and I could enjoy TNG so much more because of the depth provided by ENT. You can really see how far they've come, comparably, it's great. I think ENT is my second favorite Star Trek series, after TNG. Still not sure if I'll get into Voyager, but maybe I should if only to be a completionist after watching all the other classic series.

Just finished episode 4 of season 3. Phew, this is the best episode yet. They finally got it. They finally nailed the Star Trek feel, and it's so good. It's emotional, it's intense and it has a little bit of magic. Yadayadayada: The plot with Picard's son is actually well done. The TNG cast does great. Their motives seem believable. I like the tension between Riker and Picard. The pacing is good too, the story has room to breathe. I suppose it's also just great that it's finally a story that takes place on a starship. That's part of why it feels more like classic Trek than the first seasons.

Episode 7 of this show aired today and it's gotten to a point where I really like it. It has been a slow build up to be honest. I didn't hate it to start off with, but it didn't 'grab' me. Now I feel like I'm invested. The design of the costume is really nice, although there are places where the construction seems poor, I think usually the version that is used for a lot of the more acrobatic kinds of movements, it looks a bit poor, but I can live with it. (image) (image) The way this is released is pretty good too this year, being a youtube release means that people all around the world can watch it. Of course that does mean fansubs are going to be a bit lost and that is sad, but I would like to see more varied ways that fans can interact with the show now. Full episodes are available on TokuSHOUTsu, but I don't know if that's in every country.
