FanWorx.org is a moderated fanworks community intended for adults (18+). We do not host or allow NSFW or explicit content, but discussions may include mature themes from media franchises.

How users sign up

• Users sign in with OAuth (Discord, Google — more providers may be added).
• After the first login users must confirm they are 18 or over before posting or interacting. We store only a single "18+" flag; no dates of birth or identity documents are collected.

Content & Moderation

• Content is published immediately and then reviewed by the site owner and moderators (reactive moderation).
• If you see something inappropriate, please use the Report button on the post — flagged items are prioritised for review.
• Moderation actions include content removal, warnings, temporary suspension, and bans. Repeat or serious violations lead to permanent bans.

Direct messages (future)

Private messaging will be available in a future update. Messages are not encrypted end-to-end so moderators can review messages reactively in the case of reports or safety investigations.

Reporting & response times

Flagged content is targeted for initial review within 24 hours. Serious or urgent reports (e.g., suspected exploitation, illegal content) are actioned immediately.

Data protection

• We collect minimal data via OAuth (provider user ID and handle; email only if the user grants it).
• No dates of birth or identity documents are stored.
• Data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR requirements.

If you are under 18

FanWorx.org is intended for adults. If we become aware that an account holder is under 18, we will restrict or remove the account and any unsuitable content.
