Pedantic has been aware of the practice of Fanediting since what he dubs ''The Angry Prequel Era'' where disgruntled and enraged Star Wars fans began spewing Star Wars edits particularly Phantom Menace all over the internet, he began video editing on Youtube sometime during college where he did a variety of stuff from AMV's to anime fights and much more but was kicked of Youtube for publicly calling the site out on it's ethics policy when they kept taking down his videos where the creators of Youtube soon sent him an email happily and sadistically informing him of his departure.
His first three unofficial Fanedits were of the 2008 MCU Iron Man movie, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete and a disposable two in one Star Wars Prequel edit utilising Youtube footage from Attack Of The Clones and Revenge Of The Sith that he used to test Dailymotion's copyright system to see if he could become a content creator on said platform, naturally this experiment failed.
He soon found his way to the website Fanedit.org which he found accidentally from random Google Searching as he was looking for a place that archived fanedits where he became an active reviewer often providing feedback and support for other peoples fanedits and eventually ended up doing two official Fanedits himself, one as part of the collaborative Red Apple Crew Project and the other being an edit of Ghost Rider The Extended Cut.
However misfortune struck him once again when the corrupt and draconian staff of Fanedit.org removed his rightfully earned Faneditors Badge due to his association with a group of editors where said staff used the past quality of his Ghost Rider edit as an excuse to force him to undergo the First Time Faneditors process again where they purposely continued to make his reapproval process harder than his first approval process which itself was very challenging to accomplish.
This caused him to slowly distance himself from Fanedit.org where he soon joined Fanworx and was eventually able to find himself a new and comfortable digital home where his mental health has steadily improved over the years leading to a more positive outlook on life and his own potential as time has gone on and has continued to produce more fan created content.
Pedantic often finds himself disagreeing with the internets popular opinions hence his surname though his contrarianism is quite passive and he never seeks out an argument with someone just because their opinion differs from his own and understands that by nature a fair amount of human beings are open to subjectivity and won't always agree on everything. As such he does fan created content the way he thinks would benefit such content not necessarily what the online public thinks would benefit such content.
This means he's willing to fanedit stuff that most people would claim didn't need the fanedit treatment though his goal in fanworks creation is often to simply make stuff because he just can, not necessary because it needed to be made. He won't willingly change something on the fly in his works just because another person thought it was bad but he'll at least take the time to consider wheather that persons critique is legitimate before deciding wheather he should change an aspect of his work or keep an aspect of his work unchanged.
Naturally when he's the one critiquing others works he writes his reviews with the expectation that other Fan Creators might process his feedback in a similar manner and is understanding of other peoples reasonings as to why they wouldn't want to change certain aspects of there fanworks.
Pedantic is a Millennial with Mild Aspergers Syndrome and OCD residing in South Wales, although he can come of as quiet and distant at times it's usually because he doesn't know what to say or how to contribute to a conversation, he's convinced that he has empathic abilities as he can often feel when tension rises or is about to erupt in a room similar to a ''Spider Sense'' thus he knows when to bolt it out of there and when it's safe to return.
He's often felt and heard things that have led him to believe that ghosts or some form of spiritual entities tend to reside nearby him whenever he's in certain places though that is about as far as his spirituality goes, he does not consider himself to be a follower of any particular official religion.
