i should consider setting up a way to import pasted images. hotlinking can be problematic, especially since the top image service imgur is blocking everyone in the UK. and images on external sources can be replaced or lost. best to just upload them for now. or copy them and paste them in imgbb.com

I reworked the topic cards so that they use real links. this way you can see the url and use normal browser functions relating to urls like right clicking and opening in a new tab and similar stuff. The topic preview is now static and the latest post preview appears in a tooltip. That can be improved in time to be more attractive. Topics now open in a full page rather than an overlay. This gives a sense of stability and prevents page elements from arguing with each other. Reply form is reworked to appear fixed to the bottom of a topic or if a reply button is clicked on a post, it summons the reply form and glues it to the screen, allowing you to scroll the topic while replying. Because of changes to elements that are cached in the browser, you may need to clear your browser cache for this site.

reply functionality is now much more robust. you may need to force reload the whole page if you get sent to the bottom of the page when clicking reply. Hopefully the new stability should fix the image upload issues. let me know if that issue persists. Thanks :)

I've adjusted some scripts to simplify. still working on changing some behaviours. hopefully the first change to the topic card should help. so now when looking at all topics in a forum, the behaviour is different. hovering the mouse over no longer changes the preview. instead, the latest post will appear in the tooltip. This is a bit crude, but it is stable for now. I can consider having a more elegant preview window in future. . next step is changing reply functionality. I want to make it more robust so server responses can be more concrete.

are you able to check on this? I can't do anything about it without data. I just started episode 5. They just escaped the nebula. I just found it strange that they made someone like Shaw into a captain. Such a disrespectful man, unwilling to take any risks. But later on they explained that he has a reason to specifically hate the Borg, and therefore Seven, so that fixed things a bit. Am also working on my Star Wars edit, by the way. 🦖

Yes captain Shaw grew on me. Something I liked about TNG was that every other Starfleet captain we see felt very real and believable to me, especially when they were acting in dubious ways. At first Shaw felt like a caricature, but as the show passed he did seem more fleshed out and believable.

I found the tension between Riker and Picard to be disquieting, but I really enjoyed Shaw. Do you still dislike him or do you think he is growing on you?

Just finished episode 4 of season 3. Phew, this is the best episode yet. They finally got it. They finally nailed the Star Trek feel, and it's so good. It's emotional, it's intense and it has a little bit of magic. Yadayadayada: The plot with Picard's son is actually well done. The TNG cast does great. Their motives seem believable. I like the tension between Riker and Picard. The pacing is good too, the story has room to breathe. I suppose it's also just great that it's finally a story that takes place on a starship. That's part of why it feels more like classic Trek than the first seasons.

Just popped on and noticed that the Fanworx Discord Server channels are mostly down, I don't think it was a failed experiment if anything having both a server and a Discord has it's benefits though I do understand why having to moderate such a thing was overwhelming. As to the manner of interaction, some people are just more talkative than others and sometimes others just don't know what to say or how to respond to certain things or questions so they listen and observe what's going and express interest in there own ways such as through likes and emojis. I am a bit of an introvert so I don't talk much and sometimes I just don't know what to say about some things well other things simply don't grab my attention, I often checked both the Discord Server and this site once a day whenever I could just to see what was occuring. As to why I haven't posted any Fan Creator content yet I tend to be very meticulous with the stuff I work on and often get quite absorbed into a project, my current edit requires a lot of foresight and planning to get right though I will start adding more stuff to my eventual library hopefully sometime this year. I also plan to read your Guyver Manga Translation and review other people's edits at some point, I think the fact that you were able to not only run an entire Discord Server and create Fanworx through immense and intricate coding annnnnnnd translate a Japanese manga into English shows that you are a very talented individual. Though I don't know you personally from what I've seen of your interactions with other people I can tell that your a generally compassionate and open minded person, anyway I hope that wherever you are or whatever your doing right now things get better for you.
