Justice is important in online platforms.
I'm sure you have stories about when this has effected you. Personally, I experienced this most recently on steam. I was being subjected to ableism by other users and the moderators came along an locked the topic, chastised me for pushing back, and did nothing to the perpetrators.

Justice is important in online platforms.
I was thinking about this just now. About justice systems and the state of moderation on a lot of online platforms. Lord Chief Justice Geoffrey Lane said "It is not enough that justice is done; it must also be seen to be done." With regards to online platforms like steam forums or reddit or Facebook, etc. The following cna apply; Lack of Transparency Opaque Policies: Many platforms do not clearly communicate their rules or the reasons behind moderation decisions, leading to confusion and frustration. Inconsistent Enforcement: Users often perceive a double standard when similar behaviors are handled differently, undermining trust in the system. Secrecy in Justice Limited Visibility: Disciplinary actions taken against users (like bans or content removals) are rarely shared, creating a gap in understanding and confidence in the system. Targeted Responses: Victims of online harassment or abuse may feel that their concerns are dismissed without due process, further perpetuating a toxic environment. Impact on Community Toxic Atmospheres: The combination of perceived injustice and lack of accountability can lead to hostile interactions, making users feel unsafe and unwelcome. Erosion of Trust: When users feel that justice is not served transparently, it breeds distrust in the platform and its community guidelines.

Disney Live Action - A Watch Through The Years (Film Spoilers)
I've been for the past five months rewatching the entire Disney animation canon from 1937 to present day, and still going so far... now in 2000... but that only covers animation.. The fact is while Disney now days is criticized for there "live action" films being either shot for shot remakes, or stupid boring movies, there's a lot of great legacy to them... Live Action has been a part of Disney really since the Song Of The South which while yes forgotten and critiqued, it was the first film to feature live action footage at Disney... But the real start didn't begin till 1950's Treasure Island, a full theatrical live action film based on the beloved novel... Anyways my goal through the next year is to watch mostly every theatrical Disney Live Action feature, and rate them... If I like them, I will seek to own them, but if I do not, I won't own them... but furthermore I'll give a 1/5 star - 1/10 scaling for each feature... This will not contain everything... there will be some notable exceptions: 1. If the film is only available to view through illegal means - yes I know I can find Song Of The South or future films but if I have to commit piracy to do it, then really I don't think it's worth doing... piracy is by law a crime and I don't seek to risk a fine just to watch some forgotten flicks. 2. if it has content I am not morally comfortable with - some films deal with themes of witchcraft or sex that I am not comfortable with (not a lot) but some... so I will simply mention why I skipped it and move on. I don't blame anyone who has viewed them, I only ask my choice is respected. So to begin... let's go back to 1948's So Dear To My Heart. Honestly this is a film I have fond memories of as a kid, one I enjoyed and thought was a cute little Disney film. On rewatch as an adult I must say it still has the cuteness and some of the heart, but is more baffling then remembered. For starters, I think it's still got a heart to it, it's the classic trope of a kid finds an animal and has his heart set on owning it, I wouldn't call it a cliche it's human nature, we as children love cute animals (most do) and seek to have them, because we just love how adorable they look... and on that part of the script, great hook, cute Disney sheep story... But it really crumbles in it's execution and quality... I think the characters are fine, you have the Granny who runs the farm on her own obviously concerned about providing for her and her son Jeramiah in which gives almost a defense to what some may accuse her of "being mean". She's not mean, she's just trying to be realistic and to her the sheep *lamb* is nothing but a source of trouble... I also like the little kid Jeramiah, and some of the other characters, his friend, the Uncle, etc etc. All fine... The moral itself... what even is the moral? The film tries to give a plot of "the kid wants to keep the lamb" his grandma is hesistant "so he goes on a quest to prove he's worth owning and keeping, he loves the sheep..." - so lets throw in an awards show... and have the kid suddenly upset when he loses... oh and throw in references to biblical figures (which I must say faith plays quite a noticeable apparence in this which I appreciate) but not only that... let's uhm have the animated owl say to the kid HEY! Christopher Columbus didn't quit his voyage, despite the storms... okay that's true... but he did quit when he didn't even land in the right country for peat sake... and then did very bad things.... Yea, great moral Disney... tbf it was 1948 but still... that aged like sour milk. Then let's put in the grandma saying the boy's blue ribbon for the sheep has gone to his head, he does not care about the sheep, only the ribbon... what evidence does she actually have? What evidence does she not have? and then the ending... so the lamb runs off, the boy prays he'll find it and promises God if he does, he won't go to the fair... then his Grandma comes (once he's found it) and says hey... so, God's known me longer and I prayed that if you did find him... I promised I'd take you to the fair... she legit basically claims "because I've known God longer" your prayer is null and you can still go... ???? It's a very rocky film, not garbage but not as tear jerking as other classic animal films of the 40s and 50s... even from Disney... it's rough but I enjoyed it. - 5/10 - 2/5 stars Does anyone else have other thoughts? I know it's a film with very mixed feelings...

Star Trek: Enterprise
That's great. Admittedly my reluctance to watch it comes from it being a comedy. I want them to be serious!!! But I'll consider it.

Yes I'm actually rewatching it currently. The comedy can be a bit off-putting to begin with, but it really captures the soul of star trek.

Star Trek: Enterprise
Yes... that last episode was unfortunate. I guess they just rushed it to create a semblance of an ending. I have not watched The Orville! But I have heard that it is excellent. I assume you did watch it?

Glad you enjoyed it, it is a wonderful series. I'm not a fan of the last episode though. It is a shame how it came to an abrupt end. Have you ever seen The Orville?

Star Trek: Enterprise
I just finished it! I am well pleased-- It's FANTASTIC! Season four is right up there with the best of Trek. Such a shame it got cancelled, it could've surpassed all the other series. I hope Scott Bakula's Star Trek: United will get made. It would be about Archer being president of the Federation. Insane. I am not sure how to continue now. I'm at season 3 of Babylon 5, so I might pick that up. Or I might do a run of Voyager with essential episodes. I don't think I can watch it all.

Ghost Rider Episode I - Discussion
This edit has had a long and troubled development history and was originally going to be a two in one Fanmix of Ghost Rider The Extended Cut & Ghost Rider Spirit Of Vengeance but various outside circumstances and contrivances caused the nature of the edit from it's tone to it's runtime to change rapidly over the years, certain months and days throughout those years proved to be quite emotionally draining for me given the circumstances and contrivances I was forced to deal with and navigate. For those who came here from Fanedit dot org and have been following me as I've developed this edit or have interacted with me through private messaging in regards to there thoughts and suggestions for this edit over the years, I thank you for your patience and understanding with me as you've tried to comprehend my rather unorthodox editing style and utterly insane narrative ideas including those I did for my Eastwood Tales edit. Your praise and constructive feedback meant and means the world to me and such feedback and praise helped me to get through the darker days of my time as a Faneditor and now hopefully brighter days as a Fan Creator. Upon initial glance and viewing, it may not seem like I've changed much or barely put any effort into it at all, in fact I can already predict viewers utter gasps of horror upon seeing the edits total runtime, though I assure you I put a lot of effort into it. Honestly I am surprised I saw this through and didn't call it quits given the amount of stuff I had to learn and overcome. Though regardless of it's growing or non existent reception it may or may not receive over the years I am just happy to have finally gotten the first half of it done. As for the second half (Ghost Rider Spirit Of Vengeance) I shall resume work on that ole chestnut after hmm...lets say a two month break at the shortest or once Summer concludes at the longest, I despise the heat and bugs of summer with every fibre of my being. anyway that's all I wanted to say if you have any questions regarding Ghost Rider Episode I post em either here or through Fanworx DMS and if this edit interests you and you own the source than feel free to contact me via Fanworx DMS for the link.

Overhaul of forum system
I've also worked on tags. now you can click on a tag at the top of a topic and it will take you to a forum view for that tag. this will work with any tag. There is also a tags list page - https://fanworx.org/Tags that shows all tags and lets you visit a forum page for each of them.

Overhaul of forum system
Hi all, I have overhauled the forum system so it no longer operates with dynamic drop down boxes. each forum is a robust standalone page so users can get their bearing easier. Hopefully this should help the forum to feel more stable and firm. it also includes a breadcrumb at the top of subforums and topics, to more easily navigate. (this won't appear if the topic is loaded as standalone like this > https://fanworx.org/topic?id=100) Now that forums are more solid, I will be working on the notify system, keeping track of read/unread topics per session, so you can more clearly see activity when visiting, and also get on site notifications for DMs and topic replies.

Disney Laid Off Disney Home Entertainment Branch
You should probably read about what this division does. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walt_Disney_Studios_Home_Entertainment from what I can tell, this division is responsible for digital along with other things. That would mean a loss of Disney+ so evidently the responsibilities will be passed on to other divisions. They are making efficiency gains. We don't know how that will look. It's best not to read into this too much, we just don't know what their plans are.

There is a button in each person's profile, there is an inbox in the header with a new message button. notifications happen by email. you can leave a DM with a button inside the conversation. very important note. These are not private messages. They are not encrypted. I cannot add encryption at this point unless I start asking for ID from people, a requirement of the UK online safety act. The fundamental reason is that, in order to protect vulnerable individuals, There needs to be a way to access messages in extreme cases. Rest assured, it would not be easy, I can't just open your messages, but if a judge ordered it, I could sift through the raw data in the database backend.

Xanadu Is A Wild Movie - What are some bad musicals?
I only like two musicals; Wicked and The Wizard of Oz. I generally despise musicals as a general rule. As son as they start singing, the emotional and narrative momentum feels arrested.

Xanadu Is A Wild Movie - What are some bad musicals?
Xanadu is a movie I've never seen before but had grabbed my interest and oh my goodness was it... uhh odd. It did so many weird things- it's plot is nonsensical and it's story is so wack like what on earth? Has anyone else felt this way? What are some bad musicals you have seen?

Cover Art Requirement
Okay so the file size limit is 5mb and the ratio of the display on the listing is 3/4 but you could upload whatever size you want, it'd just be cut off if it's taller than 3/4 or wider than 3/4.

Cover Art Requirement
I don't believe i set a constraint, it's mostly limited by the file size. It could be really wide and it would either be squished or cut off. Let me look at what i put in the code.

Cover Art Requirement
I apologise if this question has been asked before, I checked around the forums but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for. Anyway my question is this what's the maximum height & width allowed for Cover Art size pertaining to Fan Creator Content such as say Fanedits for example?
