What is the last movie you watched and what did you think?
Lady & The Tramp (1956) A Great piece of Disney Animation, this film just is well frankly perfect, and sure maybe you could improve some things, but it all comes together. I admit I'm biased cause I love dogs, but the dogs are so likable, the music is great, the art style is not grand in a sense of an epic, but it creates a beautiful look to everything. When you see the neighborhood Lady lives in, you want to live there! Tramp also is a very fun character, the voice acting but also how much and how little we know. All in all, it's just a great story of loyalty from a man's best friend mixed with romance only the way Disney could do it! I loved it. 10/10 Lady & The Tramp II: Scamps Adventure (2001) That honestly was not as great as I remembered. While I enjoy it still quite a bit, as I love dogs and like the characters, its flaws are more noticeable. Not even that it's a repeat of the first in concept, but it's also just sort of bad, it's animation definitely has flaws that are noticeable. It's story of father and son is not well developed. Tramp does not tell Scamp of his past life, even when Scamp needs to hear it most, and the interaction they have about him deciding whether or not to go home or stay a Junkyard dog comes within the ending 25 minutes and is completely undone when he urgently needs help. That part I don't mind, after all it's a realization he needs a loving family over self and free reign without love, but the emotion isn't there more then just a surface level. The voice-cast also isn't splendid, no one does a bad job per-say, but you can definitely tell a teen / adult is voicing a puppy, and Buster's voice to singing is very different and jarring. I'd recommend it if you have kids and like the original sure, but it's not anything special. 6.5-7/10

Marley & Me - Prisms Extended Edition
Whose a good boy? This one's for the dogs! Hello everyone, so I am working on a fan edit of 2008's Marley & Me starring Jeniffer Aniston and Owen Wilson, that puts in multiple if not ALL of the films numerous deleted scenes. This is more of a passion project then a fan-fix. I just love the movie and want to make an extended edit for viewing!

What is the last movie you watched and what did you think?
I've watched a lot the last week so here is all of the respective reviews: Cinderella (1950) This is a really good movie. It's classic Disney, it's a classic Princess story, it's a great movie. Cinderella may not be perfect writing wise, and I'll agree it's cast of characters can overshadow the plot but they don't seem too that much. Everyone helps Cinderella and when Cinderella needs time to show emotion so we can empathize she gets it. The films beautifully animated and without it we wouldn't have any future Disney. 10/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Predator Badlands (2025) This might be the best action film of 2025 hands-down. I've not seen a lot, but oh my gosh is this film amazing. The action, the music, the visuals, the plot, all of it really works to create maybe not a perfect experience but one that truly is rewarding for newcomers to the franchise. I loved the action in this film specifically, the first 10 minutes has one of the best sword fights I've seen in years (laser swords) Whatever. It's great! I love the music as well, oh it oozes with creativity and spectacle. It's ending feels a bit bland and not as epic as it's start, but still it's very fun! 9.5/10 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Zootopia (2016) A great Disney film, honestly a great movie in general. I don't remember the last time I saw it, but I had a blast, I think I appreciate it more now as an adult for it's themes of prejudice and stereotype issues and really appreciate it trying to say something apart from being entertaining. It's still beautifully animated and I love the song "Try Everything! 10/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Zootopia 2 (2025) A great sequel, it's emotional like the first, it's as entertaining as the first, and I would argue also tries to address like the first, real issues in society. It's a great sequel where you can tell time and care was organically taken and the result is a great product. However, it's themes don't feel as vividly addressed as the first films themes were. Furthermore, where they take the characters, could've gone further. But still it's highly enjoyable! 8/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wicked For Good (2025) Wicked For Good is ironically, very good! It's a great movie in fact, while I don't think it reaches the heights the first film does, it still on occasion has moments that surpass and you can clearly tell that a true effort was made to make this feel like one continuous experience. The film has beautiful songs, visuals, character growth and depth, and Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo both shine with awesome performances! It's a film that deserves to be seen at the cinema. It does struggle at time with pacing, but it's not a train wreck, just you can feel it's a bit short at some moments, that things need to perhaps breathe more. 8/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alice In Wonderland (1951) This film frankly is one of the most boring animated Disney films I've seen so far, it's got a lot of creative ideas but no plot that makes them compelling or interesting, it's tone is bizarre and it's so wacky, I actually prefer Tim Burton's version because it's idk, has a plot at least? This film is so boring. It is way too long. 4/10 ⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Peter Pan (1953) is quite a good movie, I was sort of not sure how I'd feel on my most recent rewatch, but I actually really enjoyed it. It's stereotypes and racism of the Indians is unacceptable but clearly a product of the 1950s, otherwise it's quite a fun feature. I would've liked to have seen a darker adaptation but for what we got it's a classic and charming! ⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I've added emoji button to the toolbar. 😎 I have worked on the reply form. now there is a reply form at the bottom of each topic. the reply button next to each post now includes a quote of that post. Each post now has it's own id tag and opening a topic can go right to the identified post. I will probably need to make that url accesible from the post number. the email notifications should now include a direct url to the new post.

What is the last movie you watched and what did you think?
Popeye (1980) This is one of the most unhinged films I've ever seen, it's frankly kinda terrible, but gets away with it through it's cast and it's audience. It's a kids movie, and it's a fun one at that, I still enjoy it even though I'm not a kid, I love Robin Williams as an actor. It's funny, it's a musical, but it's bonkers. Honestly 6/10 Annie (1982) I watched this film for the first time last night, and honestly the movie is pure bliss and joy. I loved the music, I really liked the story, sure I've seen the Wonderful World Of Disney version but this one in many ways is so much richer. It's not perfect, it's a bit anticlimactic post battle, but overall it's a great cinematic treat. Miss Hannigan is frankly insane and psychotic in this version with her drinking, advances and mistreatment, my biggest question was why is she at the end party? She should be in prison! I did really enjoy it, like I said it's got some chipped edges but overall I loved it! 9.5/10

Trailers That Were Better Then The Result
I never watched that fan4stic movie actually. I heard it was bad so I never bothered. The one trailer that was so much better than the movie for me was for The Watchmen. The movie wasn't terrible, but the trailer was so much better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdiHDzT6YbQ

Trailers That Were Better Then The Result
We all love movies, here. But one of the biggest parts of a film is the marketing, that being trailers! So let's discuss some examples of trailers for movies that ended up being way worse then they looked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-BVs-KCSiA This teaser I really like, it's darker and mysterious, but the musics nice even if they straight up copy Interstellar's teaser.

The concept of 'from the depths to the far reaches' is a concept I want to stick with. Looking at a directory of logos though, I've picked up on how different types of logos communicate. For what this site represents a bird is excellent symbolism. So I'm thinking some kind of glyph of a bird, rising like a phoenix. But perhaps out of water, rather than flame. I considered the colours and I realised that to signify creative or artistic endeavours, a colour gradient is often suitable so I found this nice gradient. (image)

language filter
It became apparent that site rules and guidelines are not sufficient, so I have added a language filter system. It may be a tad annoying for people who use language responsibly, so The filters can evolve over time depending on how people feel about it. Site rules were clear but I have put together a language guide for anybody who is in doubt. It is linked in the rules page under the communication section. You probably don't need to read it if you keep in mind that this site is publicly accessible and kids can read this. I also have admin alerts in case any slurs are used as this is a more serious case.

I would also point out, that editing the worst swearwords to your post behind spoilers, in a passive aggressive retort, instructing me how to use code to correct users who cannot follow simple rules is not acceptable. I shouldn't have to point that out of course, and as is my responsibility both to the law and to any youngsters viewing the site, I must remove your access to post materials. If you are wiling and able to conduct yourself with an amount of decency and politeness, feel free to contact me via other means.

UK law is a big concern. To have a website that is generally accessible, it has to meet certain communication standards. the policy is pg13. I'm uploading a document that has a communication guide, It'll be accessible from the rules page. I'll also add an automatic language filter so people won't need to stress about slip ups.

Don't stop dreaming up stuff! And sleep on what sticks and pleases you.I think the film "F" was the nearest thing to being a logo that conveys what's to be found on the site so far; perhaps jump from there - any way you want, even if it's away from the coral F that I made.Even if in your recent drawing, "FAN" was hole-punched in a teal film strip, you know? That's a good direction. And while people can *talk* about fan fiction and video games on the site, I don't think those themes earn a place in the logo, but IF they did: I bet the "X" in fan WorX could be the D-Pad of a joystick - - or two intersecting film splices, etcLots of room to play! Any time you're bogged down or stressed about the rating/voting system on the site; any time the home page carousels seem a million miles away, revisit this and see what makes you *happy*! It should make you happy - - it should be positive and unique in colour (and I've loved how we've played thus far) - - and it should be indicative on the major themes of the site!(image) - - IMDB movie stub is subtle and brilliant!(image) - Baskin Robbins "31" falvoursIt's GREAT to have a logo that helps answer questions as soon as people click.I would vote for: Definite film strip imagery - - and if you wanted the added aspect of "gaming" I think the "W" could be a console joystick, or the X could be a slanted D-pad (my fave)And coral and teal look good together! I'd splash that anywhere!Keep dreaming - keep cooking up things that please you - - and reserve THIS matter for when you're like "Well #### making this site for the rest of the week" but you still want to click and fuss over something lol - Do not stress one minute!!

Well..... I have been thinking... Emotional feeling... Inspirational... We draw from the depths, and reach for the stars. What is that thing that truly inspired you. That found it's way into your heart and lit a fire, that gave you the power to fly! I have a thought of something like... A heart, with fire within, and with wings. Just as a thought, not necessarily as a logo. But maybe a good starting point.

I once got scorned on a web design forum for having a logo that was too picture-like. I know I shouldn't always listen to those kinds of people, they spend so long in their field, they can't look past it... and it might be nice to have fun and promote a positive vibe. I know my current logo is not the best though, and could do with a new approach. coral and teal... might end up with too many conflicting colours. i think a good approach is to have one saturated colour and one base tone. so the W could be grey, but I don't think it would be good to use teal. That's just my gut feeling. you can try to prove me wrong if you want ^^
