Just finished episode 4 of season 3. Phew, this is the best episode yet. They finally got it. They finally nailed the Star Trek feel, and it's so good. It's emotional, it's intense and it has a little bit of magic.
Yadayadayada: The plot with Picard's son is actually well done. The TNG cast does great. Their motives seem believable. I like the tension between Riker and Picard. The pacing is good too, the story has room to breathe. I suppose it's also just great that it's finally a story that takes place on a starship. That's part of why it feels more like classic Trek than the first seasons.
